Due to the extreme perceptibility of illusion and the imperceptibility of the great consciousness, the reality of the self is also justified like the power of intoxication.
Due to the unreality of the perceived objects and the unattainability of the great consciousness, the perceiver is non-existent, and thus it is called void even in reality.
The self, which is pure consciousness, is not the doer. By understanding this, the world becomes unmanifest. This is the truth experienced through the realization of such a vision.
As it is seen, so it is here in this world and beyond. The wise say that there is neither existence nor non-existence; this is the true spiritual path.
Others who speak the truth say that only the external exists, nothing else. They do not attain what is beyond the senses in their own self, therefore they do not attain it.
anārataviparyāsadarśanātkṣaṇabhaṅgadhīḥ | yuktaiva tadvidāmādyaṃ sarvaśakti hi tatpadam || 9 ||
Due to the continuous perception of illusion, the mind is subject to momentary destruction. This is appropriate for the foremost among the knowers of that truth, for that state is all-powerful.
The principle of the stork and the pot is also considered dharma by the knowers of that truth. Thus, for the attainment of the self, even the practices of the barbarians in their lands are not condemned.
The truth is that the One is the doer everywhere, as known by those whose minds are absorbed in That. Such a person, with firm conviction, attains That without obstruction.
Among those who debate with good intentions and follow the scriptures, the one who brings joy and is blameless is the best; one should seek refuge in him.
Shri Rama said: The world is like a creeper that has spread out and is resting on the ground. Who, by considering the past and the future, can see the end?
The Vidyadharas, though masters of knowledge, are deluded by their attachment to it and do not pay attention even to the most brilliant and manifested knowledge.
Only the liberated souls, who are free from the influence of the deities such as Yama, Chandra, Indra, Rudra, Surya, Varuna, and Vayu, are the ones who have attained liberation, such as Hari, Brahma, Guru, Shukra, and Agni.

All beings exist in abundance in all directions, but those endowed with consciousness are rare. Trees bearing fruits and leaves are abundant, but wish-fulfilling trees are rare indeed.
