Bhushunda said: Wherever the sense of 'I' exists, the world exists there, having come before and remaining, like the subtle, intermediate, and gross bodies within the minute particle of the universe.
The illusion of this moving world, which has arisen like the color of the sky, is said to have the sense of 'I' as its root cause, which is the abhimana (ego) of the self.
From the seed of 'I' (ahambija) imbued with the essence of desires (vasana), the tree of the three worlds (trijagat) arises in the vast sky of Brahman.
The tree of the three worlds is adorned with the flowers of stars, its branches are the dissolved mountains, its rivers are the veins, and its fruits are the essences of desires.
jagadbījamahantvaṃ yo mārṣṭi vodhādavedanāt | alaṃ citraṃ jaleneva tena dhautaṃ jagannmalam || 13 ||
The one who cleanses the impurities of the world through the knowledge of the self as the seed of the world, that person makes the world pure like water cleanses dirt.
Due to the absence of that, the world does not exist| Consciousness does not exist due to the absence of the world| Therefore, what remains is only liberation| Be peaceful as you wish|| 17 ||
abhāvādupapattisthādevaṃ jagadahaṃtvayoḥ| rūpālokamanaskārāḥ śāntāstava na cetarat|| 18 ||
From the absence, the existence of the world and the sense of 'I' is established| The forms, perceptions, and mental impressions are peaceful for you, not otherwise|| 18 ||
That which does not exist, truly does not exist| The rest is peaceful, you are certainly peaceful| You are awakened, do not bring back the pure delusion|| 19 ||
Free from the blemish of imagination, you are pure, auspicious, peaceful, the lord, and eternal| Even the self becomes like a mountain, or the world becomes like an atom|| 20 ||
