Behold the dark horse, adorned with a garland of blue lotuses and a sword in its hand, moving here with dust raised by its hooves at night. How does it move, bowing down with the heavy ornament of Lakshmi?
These arrows, spears, maces, axes, tridents, swords, lances, and discs are filled with power. They move swiftly, shaking the earth like a group of serpent kings, with their bodies trembling in the fierce dance of battle.
Behold the sky filled with powerful clouds and the ocean. Behold the sky adorned with a garland of twinkling stars. Behold the sky dense with a single essence. Behold the sky bathed in the clear light of the moon.
Where many gods and demons have gathered, and the stars have reached their destination, and where the constellations and all the elevated beings reside, there is now a perception of emptiness. Who else is capable of cleansing the world's disgrace created by the ignorant?
Even the sky, with its countless thunderclouds, destructive fires, mountain collisions, and the tumultuous battles of gods and demons filled with stars, does not reach the transformation of nature. The essence of the inner qualities of the great is not perceived.

In the lap of the sky and the sun, the continuous vibrations of the stars, including Nārāyaṇa and the moon, and the brilliant lights of lightning, etc., are wonderful, O sage! Yet, you do not abandon the inner darkness.

In the sky, where the moon's orb is darkened by the dust of your mascara, it is indeed a wonder that you do not remove that impurity through association. Who else could make the inner impurity so evident?

You create and sustain the lofty views of the wish-fulfilling tree, the clouds, the moon, the sun, the celestial beings, the winds, and the immortals. All these are beautiful and free from impurities, O pure one. This wealth of yours is indeed a great sorrow for us.
You are the pure, transparent sky, the supreme support, elevated and excellent. Yet, this rare, dense cloud of darkness afflicts the world. Therefore, you are superior to the lowly.
I consider the sky to be both attracting and repelling, accumulated over a long time, not anything else. You are empty, yet you carry the clouds, stars, airplanes, moon, sun, and wind. You shine, not devoid of meaning.
During the day, you are the light, red in form at sunset, and dark during the night, encompassing all things. Always, you do not carry anything, yet you appear to carry everything. The sky does not know the actions of the wise.
Even though it has nothing, the sky accomplishes tasks with an expanded mind. Even though it is empty inside, the sky is the cause of elevation for all.

There is no grass, no water, no village, no name, no town, no tree with dense shade, no good water. Yet, the sun travels the sky path every day, even if it is uneven. The virtuous do not abandon what has been undertaken.
The nights adorn with the dark cloth, cool touch, with hands full of camphor, with the new garment of sunlight, with the flowers of the day's star clusters. The sky adorns with the flowers of cloud drops, water, and blossoms in all seasons, in the three worlds, the courtyard of the sky of the lords of time.
Even with the disturbances of smoke, clouds, dust, darkness, sun, moon, twilight, stars, airplanes, eagles, mountains, gods, and demons, the sky does not lose its nature. Oh, what a wonderful stability of the great-hearted!
This sky, bound by the directions, is the upper layer of the atmosphere, the earth's surface, dense mountains, and the vast expanse. It is adorned with celestial beings, gods, great serpents, and the multitude of moving creatures, like ants.
Time and action seem to sustain the world and existence for a long time, like a blossoming garden. It is feared every day that it is lost, yet it does not perish even today. Oh, what is this wonderful illusion?
āyānti yānti nipatanti tathotpatanti sargaśriyaḥ kaṇaghaṭā iva pāvakotthāḥ | yatrāmalaṃ tadahamekamanādimadhyaṃ manye khameva na tu kāraṇamīśvarākhyam || 27 ||
They come, they go, they fall and rise like sparks from a fire | I consider that pure space, which is eternal and without beginning or end, not the cause called God
I consider the vast support of the three worlds, which bears the immeasurable inner essence | I consider the sky itself as the supreme form of consciousness, where this worldly illusion arises and sets
In the charming dense forests, the beautiful forest-dwelling lover sings | From here, on the peak of the mountain, he is seen by the separated one, carrying a heart full of emotions on the path
The song sung with a sigh, with a voice choked with longing, by the woman of the Vidyadharas, struck by separation | Hearing even the name of that, O traveler, this lord does not go, does not speak, swaying with a restless mind like a swing
On the peak of the mountain, the Vidyadhari sighed deeply, her forehead marked with a tilak of longing, her eyes filled with tears of separation. Remembering the sweet kiss on her husband's lap, she tasted the elixir of love and was carried away by me.
Her former husband was cursed by a sage and turned into a tree for twelve years. She, counting those very years, remained there, singing and agitated. She took refuge in that very beloved tree. O King, I heard this from the mouths of travelers on the road.
Behold, this Vidyadhari's curse was pacified by our glance. The Vidyadhari, releasing the young girl from the tree form, places her on his neck. With the deceptive form of the tree, he embraces her with those very arms, blooming with flowers.
The cluster of flowers on the peaks of the mountains shines on the trees with their distinct leaves. With the play of stars scattered in the sky, this peak appears like snow.
The waves of the Kaveri river, agitated by the swift movement of fish, appear white like flowers. The water is clear and filled with the sound of cranes, and the banks are crowded with joyful kokilas (cuckoos).
Behold here, the golden rocks of the beautiful Suvela mountain shine with the sun| The waves of the ocean, the abode of Varuna, break against the shore, resembling tiny particles of fire|| 36 ||
Observe the prosperity of the mountains where the dense clouds gather around the homes| The forest trees are in full bloom, and the cows with their calves are adorned with garlands of Palasha flowers|| 37 ||
The villages with blooming white flowers and fragments of Mandara flowers are victorious| They resonate with the music of waterfalls and the deep songs echoing from the caves|| 38 ||
I think there is no greater satisfaction for the immortals than the joy found in the villages nestled in the mountain valleys| Where the humming of intoxicated bees resonates within the swaying petals of the blooming flowers|| 39 ||
In the mountain valleys, the playful women, free from mercy, swing the vines and sing within the dense forests| Their eyes are fixed on the faces of their beloved Pulinda men| Do the Kirata hunters kill the innocent deer like an enemy?|| 40 ||
The villages, adorned with various blooming flowers, cooled by the breeze from the valley's petals, and crossed by the swiftly flowing Ganges, shine like the moon in the dense forests of the mountain king.
The villages, resounding with the melodious sounds of birds, surrounded by tall, awake palm trees, adorned with swaying creepers full of blossoming flowers and leaves, and touched by the clouds hanging on the distant tall sal trees, are as charming as the gardens of the moon city, filled with ashvattha trees.
The villages, with the approaching dark, rumbling clouds, dance with the peacocks spreading their feathers, and shine with the soft peacock feathers and the bright moonstones.
The playful beauty that resides in the villages adorned with the charming moon discs on the sides and rested with the heavy rain clouds, how can that be compared to the wealth of even Brahma's kingdom?
In the beautiful inner forests of the lord's joyful gardens, in the groves resonating with the laughter of children, in the dense trees filled with humming bees and crowded with pāribhadra flowers, we delight in the mountain caves.
I believe that love rejoices with delight in the green forests, in the gardens adorned with ponds, in the village lands protected by mountain caves, and in the resonant sounds of nature.
O Earth, you are the ornament adorning the summits of the mountains, the sole abode of joy, with your profound and lofty form, destroying the heat of the great penance. O Cloud, this should dispel the minds, as you rain, the sequence of water distribution on the joyful, dry small islands and trees.
You always bathe in the pure waters of the sacred rivers, standing high like a cloud. You dwell in the forest, observing the vow of silence. Even in your absence, your radiance is evident. What is this insignificant act you are performing?
Cruelty, instability, impurity, street behavior, and being despised—what is the name of these qualities taken from dogs? I do not know if they are from fools or from dogs.
The one who runs towards the paths of sensual pleasures with an intoxicated mind, thinking that even the tip of a blade of grass is desirable, let us consider whether this is sentience or inertness.
Even though the noise is the same, it is perceived differently by different beings. Lions with disturbed minds perceive it one way, while dogs with closed eyes perceive it another way.
O dear one, who is always impure and devoted only to talking, wandering in the streets at all times, I think you have been taught by some fool, having a mind like a cat.
The creator makes the entire world dissimilar in every way. In this daughter's son, who is similar, everything is created. The clothing is in the filthy armpit, the food is feces and pus, the body is despised by all in the world.
When asked, 'Who is more inferior than you?' the dog laughed and said, 'One who serves foolishness, impurity, blindness, and inauspiciousness is even more inferior.' Valor, genuine devotion, and fortitude are my virtues. These qualities of a fool cannot be obtained even with great effort.
He eats the impure, delights in the impure, and is always in a great mess. He eats the conscious silently, enjoys the unconscious, and is beaten by all with stones. His existence is playful, and he is not a lord in the world.
O crow, with your harsh cawing, you are wandering in the mud of swallowed virtues. You obstruct the sweet fragrance, and because of that, you have become a fruit on my head.
Alas, what a pity! A beautiful body, like a blooming lotus, but with a face unfit for laughter | See this crow, sitting on this small leaf, playing various games with the royal swans
he kāka karkaśarava krakacaikacihna tādṛkśvaśaṅkanamapi kvā nu te'dya yātam | kasmādanarthakamidaṃ pikapākamekaputrāśayā tadapi te hyupahāsasiddhyai || 70 ||
O crow, where has your harsh voice, which is a sign of your fear, gone today? Why do you make this useless cawing? Even that is for the sake of mocking, due to your desire for a single son.
ālokya paṅkajavane savilāsavantaṃ kākaṃ kalaṅkasadṛśaṃ bhṛśamāraṭantam | hā kaṣṭaśabdaśatanāṣṭaviceṣṭito yo no roditi krakacakena vidāryatāṃ saḥ || 71 ||
Seeing the crow in the lotus forest, full of playfulness, resembling a blemish, crying loudly, alas! His actions are destroyed by a hundred painful sounds. He does not cry, let him be torn apart by the harsh sound.
Your melodious voice, O sweet-throated one, is heard here as the messenger of love's union. The crows and owls quarrel in the bushes with their harsh cries, and the sound reaches here.
With his sweet voice, the young cuckoo tells a beautiful story, purifying everything, until he comes before the passionate ones. Then, falling from the sky with the fierce sound of drums, everyone becomes lifeless.
O cuckoo, why do you sing with such rapid melody, filled with joy? Enter again, do not wander for long. With the abundant flowers, this is not the humming of bees in winter. The trees have become dry with the heaps of frost.
O cuckoo, singing sweetly with your charming voice, always praised, why have you learned this sorrowful speech, unfortunate one? In the beautiful new sprout, the separated one says, 'Whose sweetness is this? Therefore, it is yours,' loudly from the tree.
Even among the silent and colorful crowd of crows, this cuckoo stands out with its beautiful radiance, recognized from afar. Among the foolish, it appears wise with its graceful actions. Everyone admires it for its similar inner beauty.
O brother, the cuckoo's sweet songs are of no avail now; the invaluable virtue of silence is to be observed in some hollow covered with withered leaves. In the deep forest, the harsh cries of the crows are prevalent. O friend, this is the time of winter, not the festival of spring.
It is strange, O mother, that this cuckoo chick has left the crow and gone. As soon as I think about it for a moment, she too, just like a mother, quickly embraces him to nourish him with affection. He, being naturally charming, goes in the direction that gives him greatness.
