Manu said: The all-pervading Lord plays with the movements of creation as if He were a child. Then, with His power of destruction, He withdraws into Himself.
Similarly, His own power arises and is bound by which it arises, and similarly, His own power arises and is liberated by which it arises.
Thus, this world, imagined with intelligence and so on, exists in the expanded Brahman. For those who have the knowledge of the self, it is the cause of suffering, and it is both that and not that.

One who contemplates the entire universe as a reflection of pure consciousness, and remains calm and content, is truly blessed and protected by the armor of Brahman.
One should contemplate that everything is empty, without support, and of the nature of pure consciousness, with a mind free from the sense of 'I' and 'mine'.
The seed of continuous suffering is the thought 'this is pleasant, this is not'. When that is burned by the fire of equanimity, where is the scope for suffering?
O King, with the weapon of non-attachment, distinguish between the pleasant and the unpleasant. By the supreme human effort, let it quickly dissolve within itself.
Having enjoyed the pleasures of the world, one becomes devoid of divisions, with the radiance of dissolved imagination, full of the play of discrimination, attaining the supreme bliss, ever free from disease, with the pure enjoyment of peace and tranquility, the body of consciousness fearless of existence.
